This multi-purpose lip balm, on sale since 1895, was popular old family standby since its release but has now gained popularity with celebs, and is still a top-seller, although now usually found more in make-up bags than in home cupboards.

The salve is not only gorgeous on the lips but also useful when dealing with dry skin, nappy rash, detergent burns and blemishes.

It moisterizes lips, calms and heals irritation, and soothes the sting of minor burns. Dabbed on elbows or knees it also helps to relieve the dryness that can so often turn up in those areas.

Only a few dab are necessary, ensuring that one tin lasts a very long time, and it can also be mix with lipstick for extra shine.
